Ujamaa Spice
The £17 billion global spice industry is increasingly under attack from organised food crime, with the UK alone spending over £12 billion annually to combat it. This stems from the flaws in the current spice supply chain, perpetuating exploitation, corruption, and lack of transparency rooted in colonial legacy. In contrast, Ujamaa Spice takes a fundamentally different approach.
We forge intimate partnerships with smallholder farmers in Zanzibar, assuming full control of our supply chain. By offering premium prices for their produce, we empower these farmers while ensuring our UK consumers receive nothing short of exceptional quality: pure and untainted by adulteration.
