STEMSpec

Our idea was sparked by a common student question: “Why do we even need Algebra for engineering?” Recognising that many UK students probably share these doubts about the relevance of STEM subjects, we created STEMSpec. Highlighted by Welcome Trust in 2020, 59% of students struggle to see science’s everyday relevance and find it difficult to engage with the subjects. STEMSpec is an intuitive online platform aimed at connecting classroom learning with practical applications in the real world.

With STEMSpec, students can explore how STEM concepts directly apply to different careers, making their learning journey more meaningful and engaging.
