Gledfield Distillery

My great, great grandmother was Marjorie MacBeath. She was born in 1884 and lived on a croft near Ardgay where she distilled spirits illicitly. She was nearly caught by the excisemen one day, but she hid her pot still under her petticoats!

Over 100 years later, I am set to bring her ancient spirit recipe back to life. A botanical spirit which is similar to gin without juniper berries. Made with oats, I’m led to believe this is a world first. Every bottle sale will generate £1 to support local charities.
