Floating Fleeces

Watersports such as paddleboarding have grown in popularity since covid as show in the Watersports Participation Survey 2022 which revealed 13.2 million UK adults tried paddleboarding in 2022, up 3 per cent from 12.8 million in 2021. However, most existing boards are made from unsustainable plastic materials and current sustainable alternatives such as wood are very expensive.

Floating Fleeces will create a sustainable alternative to plastic using naturally sourced products that can be combined and moulded into different shapes to create an environmentally friendly product. The aim is to use this natural plastic alternative to create a watersports activity product.
