Designed by the Entrepreneur Business School (EBS) specifically for academic entrepreneurs, our intensive course will give you an excellent grounding in all aspects of starting a business including how to build strong teams, navigate the incorporation process, gain closer engagement with markets and customers and, ultimately, create an investable company with a strong proposition.

Learn about fulfilling legal and statutory obligations as a director
Identify intellectual assets and implement a management strategy
Create a robust financial forecast and plan to secure capital

Blended learning

Our training programme is practical, interactive and engaging – you won’t be in a classroom watching endless PowerPoint slides.  Instead, our training team will share their experience, knowledge and expertise in a dynamic, learning environment where you are actively encouraged to take part.

Our bespoke entrepreneurial training is delivered through a mix of online on-demand modules and face-to-face sessions including masterclasses and networking events.

Delivered by EBS, experts with real-world experience of starting and growing companies across diverse sectors and global markets, this is a training course unlike any other.

The tailored training programme will cover business essentials for startups and spin-outs, as well as specialist coaching on preparing and delivering a pitch and how to prepare a business plan.

Fostering inclusion

Part of our Pathways Pledge, participants in our advanced cohort will now benefit from Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity (DEI) training, helping them to build successful and sustainable businesses in an increasingly diverse world.

Delivered by guest speaker, Bayile Adeoti, a leading voice in social investment and inclusive entrepreneurship in the UK, participants will explore how inclusive leadership and equitable practices can strengthen their start-up culture, product design, recruitment and customer reach.

Pathways Forward was created in response to extensive public and private sector engagement and momentum generated by the Pathways Report. The primary objective is to drive positive change through tangible, practical and swift action and to influence policy through collaborative thought leadership across the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
