Excellio Labs’ mission is providing tissue-specific engineered exosomes for drug delivery. Exosomes are vesicles that are secreted by cells. Vesicles can be thought of as tiny “bubbles” or “pouches” inside cells that can carry various substances. They can be compared to ‘postmen’ carrying messages between cells in the body.

Drug deliver is a big challenge in medicine. Lack of efficiency and toxicity are main reasons for clinical trial failures. Exosomes can be engineered into the ultimate drug delivery tool – precisely targeting specific tissues and not causing adverse side effects. Our exosomes will carry drugs exactly where they are needed.
